Just because there is never a bad time to share this masterpiece, he is a song Mark wrote in high school, called “Let Change Be Your Home.” I hadn’t listened to it in a while, but even just listening to it now kinda chokes me up a bit. Its some serious, Rumi style sage knowledge in there.
Lines like “enjoy the days that come and let them go” or “when I fell out of the womb… you hugged me, and made me wonder, if this was all a blunder, if this is all just wondering” and “oh lord, unjar me from the past, these memories won’t last, and they get me all off kilter!” feel smart and comforting to me the same way things like “This is Water” or Montaigne or “In the Aeroplane over the Sea” feel comforting.
Thanks Mark!
