it’s pretty cold here today, so i left work a bit early to catch the last gasps of daylight on my ride home, hoping it wouldn’t be so cold. this is also the part where i note that i forgot my facewarmer and shoe covers. both V.I.Pieces of clothing for riding in 10 degree (feeling like -5!) weather…
Pretty much my experience biking home from UIC today, except at Belmont and Damen, the feeling in my toes went to zero and I had the actual thought “well, they’ll probably be fine for another 3 miles” (and they were!).
I also saw a bunch of construction workers using a flaming barrel for heat around Damen and Montrose, like in Robocop.
