The Smiths - Ask
I don’t know how I missed this song for so long, but now that I have Spotify and have been looking for some new tunes and going through the Smith’s back catalogue, I’ve been finding all kinds of gems. Its has all the sounds of later-Smiths songs (totally overproduced (it almost sounds like it could be a mid-period Elvis Costello song), played at a too-slow-mid-tempo, vocals too high in the mix, etc.) but its a crazy romanic song and its still great great great.
