Review: I Love You Man
I would rather listen to a recording of the Oklahoma City Bombing on repeat for the rest of my life than hear another scene from a bro-mantic comedy where one guy says to another “men are basically animals, society holds us back, so love your farts”.
I Love You Man is basically like a 2 hour episode of Home Improvement. Zero Alf heads
Born Under a Bad Sign
No joke: I just remembered tonight after watching the latest episode of 30 Rock that when my mom was in the hospital about to give birth to me, she was reading Sophie’s Choice. And when she got to the end she started balling (understandably) and then went into labor (ominously).
I swear up and down this is true. And when I stop and think about this, the only other aspect of my childhood...
Insane Stimulus Watch emails, pt. 3
I haven’t posted any of the insane StimulusWatch emails that continually flood my inbox in a while because a) it feels a bit like picking on the crazy guy on the train that shouts at himself and b) I’m sure these folks get it good enough when they’re at their monthly John Birch Society / MoveOn.org meetings. Speaking of which, after having it on my list for a while, I finally bought American Don a couple of days ago and haven’t really been listening to much else since. I bought “2” a while back and couldn’t get into it — all the distortion makes it hard for me to hear the melodies in the bass and the guitar — but this...
What does Unionization have to do with High School...
I’m sitting at Argo Tea doing some work, and right next to me at this bar is a white dude in his late-20s, long hair, and some scruff. He smells like shitty cigarettes and hes tutoring this tiny South-East Asian kid in high school level algebra. They’re doing word problems like:
4) If a bag of groceries costs $20 today, and the annual rate of inflation is 3%, how much will that...
FormBug 0.2
Created an update to FormBug tonight. Now its starting to get pretty useful. The update adds an realtime inspector to examine the current state of forms on the page.
Release: FormBug 0.1
FormBug is an extension to Firebug I wrote to make testing form-intensive websites more plesant. Currently it does just four similar things:
Populate Form: Selected from the right-click context menu. It searches up the DOM tree for a form, and if it finds one it fills in all the “checkbox,” “radio” and “text” inputs, selects and textareas with default...
